STUDEOLET

Atwood This creation is the brainstorm of Don "Studeolet" Atwood. He added the bullet nose front end from a 1950 Studebaker to his 1950 Chevrolet Fleetline 2 door sedan. The sheetmetal was grafted to the trailing edges of the Chevy's fenders and hood. It has frenched headlights and frenched Buick taillights at the rear. The exhaust from the small block Chevy V-8 comes out where the license plate was formerly located and the spark plugs in the large tips give a clue that one could expect to see flames coming out in true flame thrower style. The dashboard has been replaced by one from an early 60's Chrysler and the pop up air vents on top of the dash are quite unique. A full console separates bucket seats that are covered in a gray vinyl. The car gets real low on it's air bag suspension and looks real cool in it's orange paint with silver flames.
Don built his car with help from "The Ernies" in Torrance, CA when he was living in Hawthorne, CA. |
