1951 Studebaker Commander Convertible

This is Homer & Carol's Commander convertible project. The drive train was donated by a 79 Ford Mustang and includes a 302 with a C-4 transmission and 8-3/4" rear end. The dash has been modified and other custom touches include new flush door handles, a reworked deck lid, frenched license plate, 52 Studebaker taillights and the rear wheel openings have been raised 2", which required a lot of work on those rear fenders. It also has 4 wheel disk brakes and air. The car is currently in a light coat of base coat but plans are to paint it VW "Bug Yellow".
