Robbins This 1950 Champion 2 Door Sedan was built by Gabe Robbins and his dad. They installed a 350 engine and transmission from a 1978 Chevrolet El Camino donor car. The 8" Ford rear end is from a 70's Maverick. Gabe used a Fatman front clip with Mustang II rack & pinion steering. The body was left somewhat stock looking except for the removal of the front bumper and the addition of Boyd 17" billet wheels. Gabe also added functional portholes from a Buick to the top of the hood to cure an overheating problem and said they worked great. The interior featured front bucket seats from a Honda Accord and a smooth dash with VDO gauges.

After enjoying this car for several years, Gabe sold it and the photo at the right shows the flames and scallops that the new owner added. I can't say they did anything to enhance the looks of this car but you can judge for yourself.
